This lovely picture frame has a Claddagh symbol on the top and makes for a great gift for anyones home.
The ancient craft of pewter making was revived in Ireland by Paddy Collins in Mullingar in 1974. Paddy’s son Peter now runs the business and it employs 16 people from the local area. Everyone is specially trained in the old casting methods, meticulous assembly and delicate hand finishing which are skills that take many years to refine.
The Claddagh is a traditional Irish symbol redrived from the townland called Claddagh in Co. Galway which represents love, loyalty, and friendship (the hands represent friendship, the heart represents love, and the crown represents loyalty).
Frame holds a 5 x 7 picture.
Handcrafted by Mullingar Pewter in Co. Westmeath, Ireland.
